The simple story of 2 big kids (Ben Baillieux-Beynon and Charles Blistin) who preferred playing music instead of going to school... With songs that fall somewhere between the sounds of the Libertines and Violent Femmes.
In 2006 they recorded a 10 song-demo. Their label was so happy that this session became a 7 song mini-album. Belgian radios began to spin their songs and the band began to play intensively live.
Canon Chose their song 'second category' for a Europe-wide TV Commercial campaign and the band was swiftly exposed to a new audience and got radio airplay all over Europe.
It was time for a real Full Length Album so they jumped into a Brussels Studio. The album was released at the end of 2007 and was followed by an intensive European Tour. The Band had become a 4-piece at this point.
It was maybe too soon, because this 2 year tour unfortunately led to the split of the group, but Ben and Charles decided to quit on good terms. Ben called Fab Detry, producer of the Tellers' 2 records, and Cesar Laloux, a young cool drummer, who both accepted to join him.
In April 2010, Joos Houwen joined the band as a guitarist. This brand new fourpiece has now recorded its new album at the swimming house studio in Brussels, this new album was produced by Gordon Raphael responsible for The 2 first albums of the Strokes.
This new album titled *Close The Evil Eye* will be out in Benelux the 18th of october and elsewhere early 2011.
